A  medical super glue called Onyx, originally approved for treatment of brain aneurisms, was recently used to destroy a tumor in the heart.  The glue was injected into the rare golf ball size tumor found in Jamie Arliss’ heart.  Dr. Christopher Cove, a cardiologist at University of Rochester Medical Center and Dr. Babak Jahromi, a neurosurgeon at University of Rochester Medical Center were serendipitously working near each other and combined their knowledge and skill to apply the technique, formerly only used in the brain, to a similar issue in the heart.  The incredible “super glue” destroys Arterio Venous Malformations (AVMs) from the inside out.  Click this link to read the whole story or watch the video.
