Early on this holiday season, do yourself a favor and pick up these two classic items at the store – Baking Soda and Super Glue.  Why?  Just do it.  Trust us.

It’s an odd combination, we know.   But here’s why …. Each product has an amazing array of uses on its own.  Baking Soda is not only great for use as an ingredient in baking and cooking, but can be used for cleaning (clothes, carpets, toys), exfoliating (face, feet), freshening (refrigerators, odors) and has many other household uses as well.  Likewise, Super Glue is not only great for use in fixing broken things, but can be used for cosmetics (fingernail application, blisters, papercuts), sports (fly fishing, surfing), hobbies and crafts (RC planes, jewelry making, action figures, woodworking, holiday wreath/decoration making, etc.) along with many other household uses as well.  But what if you put these two symbols of strength, purity, and value together?

Artists and craftsmen have found that combining super glue and baking soda makes for amazing chemistry.  We’ve blogged before about guitarists who use baking soda and super glue to mold amazingly durable guitar pics to fingernails.  Craftsmen have also found the combination of super glue and baking soda makes for a great gap filler and building material.  Applying just a drop of super glue to a gap and then adding on some baking soda will fill in the crack and once dry can be sanded to look just like new.  Here are a couple of examples:

There are many other examples of how super glue and baking soda make for a winning combination.  We think you’ll be very happy to have both on hand throughout the holiday season for their individual purposes as well as for the amazing things that can be done when they’re mixed together!!  We can’t think of two better, cheaper products that have such a multitude of uses and also have the potential for helping make your holiday season happy and productive!
