Love is in the air, everywhere you look around. Gentlemen, you have probably been planning your Valentine’s Day for about a month now and you still may find yourself coming up short when it comes to finding her the perfect gift. Well, in any case you haven’t noticed the day of love is approaching quickly and you have a pile of things to do besides put that last decorative flower icing on her red velvet cupcake. Don’t worry about going out to the expensive jewelry store this year. Our Super Glue team has you covered! You can create this quick and easy DIY project that shows her how creative your heart really is for her.
Crafts Needed:

Creating the Masterpiece:

Take your wine corks and wipe them down and make sure they are completely dry to work with. Place all your materials on a flat and smooth surface; preferably make your workstation on an old placemat or craftsman table if you have one. Place all your corks in a row with their labels up, that way you can see what the finished product may look like.

One at a time take a screw hook and twist it into the bottom of the wine cork all the way in, just as you would as you try pulling out the wine cork with a wine opener. Twist the hook to the appropriate area that you like, so that way the label or decorative symbol of the wine cork is facing you. Continue to do this until all the wine corks have hooks in them. Lastly, insert a screw hook into the top of the first and last wine cork so that way you can attach your hanging lace or chain.

Now you are ready to glue them together. Using super glue, connect two corks together side by side and press them firmly until they are bonded. Start from the middle and work your way out to the left and right side until you have attached the last two end pieces. Here’s a crafter’s tip, apply the glue to the backside of each wine cork, so that way the glue does not show up in the front of the cork display.

Once you have connected all the pieces together, allow the glue to dry. As we said before you may want to use something old to lay the corks out to dry, but if you have nothing laying around a paper plate is a perfect resting place for your jewelry holder.

Pick up the artwork with both hands to ensure that every cork is bonded together. If you need to, apply more glue and allow it to dry. Once you are happy with the strength of the bonded corks, now you can add on your hanging lace or chain. If you used ribbon, cut about 10 to 12 inches of the material and tie it to the top hooks on both ends of the holder. Make sure the knots are tight and test it out on your doorknob to make sure that the corks and hooks stay in place.

Super Glue Snow Globes Edit

[Image: http://www.pinterest.com/}

The holidays are here, yet again! We take so much time to concentrate on our immediate family’s gifts but also have so many more loved ones to give presents to. The hardest part is to avoid breaking our bank accounts. This simple do-it-yourself project is a great way to provide a personalized gift that is easy on your wallet and only takes a few minutes to put together using Super Glue!

Materials Needed:

  • Super Glue
  • Clear Mason jar with lid
  • Fine glitter
  • Water
  • Tiny Christmas figurines

Almost any clear jar works for this project, you can use baby-food containers, spice containers, or even pickle jars. Once you have found your set of jars, now you can use your imagination to create a beautiful whimsical winter season inside your snow globe.

Choose either plastic or ceramic figurines that fit inside your globe. Stay away from metal that will rust. You can use a small pine tree figurine and/or a small animal, anything you want! The best thing about this project is that you create a totally unique snow globe for each person.

Step 1: Begin by adding a few drops of Super Glue to the bottom of your figurines and mount them to the inside of the jar’s lid. Super glue will dry in seconds and provide you with a lasting, strong hold which will keep your figurines in place even when you shake your snow globe.

Step 2: Fill the jar with water and add in the fine glitter. Fine glitter will create the snowing effect; just add a few pinches of glitter – too much glitter will make the jar look foggy.

Step 3: Add a few drops of Super Glue around the inside of the lid and close it tightly to ensure that no one accidently spills glitter or water all over themselves upon opening their gift.

Share your snow globe creations on our Facebook page; we would love to see your creative side!

Are you looking for last-minute idea on how to decorate your home this Thanksgiving holiday? With relatives flying in from all around the world, you want your home to looks it’s very best. Here is a last-minute arrangement you can add to your home with just the use of some pinecones and Super Glue.

Creating a wreath is easy and is a great way to add some fall décor to the outside of your home.

What you will need:

  • Wooden Wreath or any heavy duty wire will do
  • Lots and lots of Pine Cones
  • Super Glue
  • Ribbon
  • Leaves – Optional

Gather all the pine cones you can find, the more variety of sizes of pinecones the better for this project. Once you have plenty, go ahead and start gluing them one at a time onto your wreath. Using small dots of Super Glue makes it easy to attach all the pine cones to the wreath with zero hassle. If you are using a wire, you can glue each pine cone to each other as well in order to make it sturdier. Make sure to use the smaller pinecones to fill in the empty gaps.

For an added bonus, you can lightly spray paint the pine cones in white to give off the winter snow effect. This step is also optional, but adding a few leaves or even pine tree leaves can add a Christmas feel to your wreath.

Once you’re done adding everything to your wreath, you can add a bow to the top. Keep in mind that this pinecone wreath will be heavy; make sure to secure it properly. Use some ribbon to create a hook for your wreath. Pass the ribbon through the center of wreath and tie it on top to create a sort of triangle and then use that part to hang the wreath.

This simple craft will leave your guests feeling impressed and leave you feeling happy because it didn’t take too much time at all! Visit our Facebook page to share some of your creative ideas for fall wreaths.

This amazing architectural model from Renzo Piano workshop for the Whitney Museum of Art is just one example of how models are used to transform dreams into reality.

Communication is tough and model making is often used to help people visualize concepts and designs prior to building.  Seeing really is believing!  Architects often use models to show clients exactly how the finished product will look down to some of the most intricate details.

Many of our customers are model makers, both professionally and as hobbyists.  We’ve heard from many architects who write in to tell us how well our epoxies and super glues work for building prototypes and models which effectively communicate design concepts and ideas to customers.   It’s a pleasure to work with people who share our passion for “Adhering to Excellence”!

Heading to the beach this summer?  Collecting shells and driftwood is so much fun, but what do you do with it all when you get home (or even before you leave)?  … We suggest you tuck a tube of super glue and a wooden picture frame or two in your suitcase before you leave home …. then when you have a great collection of shells, driftwood and maybe, if you’re lucky, a piece of seaglass or two you can quickly make up a couple of 3D frames for your favorite pics from your trip!

What a fun craft idea and great way to preserve actual, tangible, memories of your sunny days and cool eves spent by the seashore!

It’s winter, but it’s never too early to begin thinking about spring!  Here’s a great craft idea that will keep you busy all winter long and add glitz and glamour to your garden come springtime.  This gorgeous pot was made by spray painting a clay pot white and then trimming the sides with jewel-like, flat-sided marbles.  The marbles can be attached using a clear silicone sealant or epoxy … both provide more outdoor protection from weathering than traditional glues.

We think adding beads, buttons, jewels, small ornaments or even natural items like beans, peas, or small rocks to your outdoor pots would look great as well!

If you decorate an outdoor flower pot using either our silicone sealant or epoxy as the adhesive, send us your story, along with a picture of your project and you may win free samples!

We love this awesome lego storage idea we saw on Pinterest!!

Clever mom blogger, Kirsty Colquhoun, author of 365 Days of Pinterest Creations blog, tells us she originally got the wall art idea from Felix on Mi Muller, but Kirsty takes the next big step and shows us how to make them!

First, purchase the 2×2 lego blocks and then, using super glue,  mount them to frames purchased at Ikea!  How easy is that??  Almost instantly your mini figures have permanent homes brilliantly displayed prominently as wall art AND the best part is the figures can still be removed any time they are needed for play!!  (Be sure to check out all of the details for construction on 365 Days of Pinterest Creations blog.)

Clever, Clever … we are impressed!  Great idea and cool art, too!!
