At one point or another we’ve suffered from having damaged or broken shoes. What do you do when your heel breaks or when the rubber sole is separating from the rest of the shoe? Before tossing them, try Super Glue! Along with repairing furniture and other household items, Super Glue is strong enough to hold your shoes together and repair them for an increased lifespan.

Reattaching Your Sole

Step 1. Start by cleaning the area from any glue residue with alcohol and a cloth. Doing this step first will ensure that the sole adheres well.

Step 2. Apply Super Glue to the shoe and sole, and press them together firmly. Make sure to quickly wipe away any glue that is squeezed out.

Step 3. Put weight on top of the shoe so that the parts bond. You can use heavy objects you have around your house that fit inside your shoe and place them inside to apply the weight.

Reattaching Your Heel

Step 1. Super Glue works wonders in a high heel emergency as well. Prior to gluing, use some sandpaper on the heel and shoe to get rid of any glue residue.

Step 2. Apply Super Glue and make sure to take your time with aligning the heel properly. Super Glue dries very fast so don’t take too much time.

Step 3. Apply significant amount of pressure to hold the heel in place and let them dry for at least an hour before wearing to ensure proper bonding.

Super Glue can get you out of shoe emergencies when you have no shoe repair service near your home or office. It provides a strong bond that can leave your shoes looking as good as new! Show us your shoe repairs that you have done using super glue on our Facebook page.

Are you tired of having messy drawers but find it difficult to keep it organized? This simple project can help you organize any drawer in your house without spending a fortune. Using strong adhering Super Glue and cardboard you can create these dividers. Creating this drawer divider will be a great inspiration to keep everything organized; it will even help declutter your junk drawer!

Materials Needed:

Cardboard, foam board, or craft board

Super Glue

Contact Paper – optional

Step 1: Measure Your Drawer

Measure your drawer and determine the length and width of your dividers. Decide what objects will be placed in that drawer and lay the contents on the floor in front of you. Create a layout of what needs to be separated and decide whether you will need multiple dividers or if 4 will work. The amount and size of each divider is entirely up to you.

Step 2: Divide and Conquer

Measure and cut out the dividers. Using the same layout you created with your objects, glue the dividers accordingly. By using Super Glue to connect the dividers, you will have created a sturdier divider as opposed to using a hot glue gun which can come apart easily. Also, by gluing the dividers to each other it allows you to remove the dividers from the drawer whenever you want.

If you would like to add some colors to your drawers, you can decorate your dividers with contact paper.

Step 3: Get Organized

Place the dividers into the drawer and organize your belongings. This is a great way to stay organized and to see everything clearly inside your drawers.

We often have to repurchase things because we cannot find them in our messy drawers. With drawer dividers we are able to see everything clearly because each item now has a place! If you are using a wire, you can glue each pine cone to each other as well in order to make it sturdier. Make sure to use the smaller pinecones to fill in the empty gaps.

For an added bonus, you can lightly spray paint the pine cones in white to give off the winter snow effect. This step is also optional, but adding a few leaves or even pine tree leaves can add a Christmas feel to your wreath.

Once you’re done adding everything to your wreath, you can add a bow to the top. Keep in mind that this pinecone wreath will be heavy; make sure to secure it properly. Use some ribbon to create a hook for your wreath. Pass the ribbon through the center of wreath and tie it on top to create a sort of triangle and then use that part to hang the wreath.
