These adorable “mummy jars” are  a clever addition to your Halloween decor without being too ghoulish!  We found the original idea on Pinterest and loved it so much we wanted to share it with our readers!  Here’s all you need to make them:

– clean glass jars of varying heights

– gauze

– googly eyes

– led votive candles

Wrap the jar with gauze, securing each end with a drop of  The Original Super Glue(R) Glass Adhesive.  Glue on the googly eyes (using the Glass Adhesive) and drop a led votive candle inside.

Happy Halloween, Everyone!

Take a look at this exquisite handmade knife by Rancid Crabtree!  Can you believe that glossy finish on the wood handle is the result of 8 coats of super glue and some buffing?

Well, believe it!

In a separate blog post, Rancid Crabtree, goes into detail about how to “build along” the super glue finish … click here to read his clear (and funny! — we especially like the brush he uses :)) instructions!

Ezzard Charles aka “The Cincinnati Cobra”, one of the top ten heavyweight boxers of all time, was one intense boxer.  In 1949, he won the World Heavyweight title after defeating Jersey Joe Walcott in 15 rounds according to Wikipedia.  Prior to that big win, Ezzard Charles, knocked out a young boxer, Sam Baroudi, with a blow that ended in death.  Charles was so distraught by what he’d done that he almost gave up boxing, but he ended up moving from a lightweight boxer to a heavyweight boxer and sticking with the sport.

Charles went on to fight, and beat, many of the legendary boxers of his time.  He was the first boxer to go all 15 rounds against Heavyweight Champion, Rocky Marciano according to Wikipedia.  It is in the rematch of this fight, June 1954, when the super glue portion of this story kicks in!

According to a Listverse Travel and Leisure article:  “The second made fight of the year, when it climaxed with Charles cutting Marciano’s nose so badly that his corner stuffed it with super glue to stop the bleeding. He could have peeled his nose in half off his face. Marciano, however, rallied to knock Charles out, because he was in danger of losing due to the blood.”

Wow, that was some fight!  Guess it was smart of those guys in Marciano’s corner to have that super glue handy!

Super Model, Heidi Klum, recently opened up on Katie Couric’s new daytime talk show about her unusual beauty tip, Super Glue!  That’s right, even Super Models have tales to tell about how superglue comes to the rescue … Apparently, Heidi’s problem was toenails.

According to HollywoodLife.com, Heidi admitted wearing shoes that were “too high and too tight”.  “First I broke both toes, then the nails went blue, then I colored them, and then they fell off and I was like what am I going to do?”

So what did Heidi do?  Well, like many of our customers … Heidi used some super glue to affix her toenails back on!  Super glue will repair anything!

We were thrilled to learn that super glue helped this forthcoming celebrity out of a sticky situation and back onto the runway footloose and fancy free!
